James Reesor
Brass, Piano, Music Theory, Composition, and Electronic Music
James graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2017, earning a Bachelor of Music with a focus on Trombone Performance and Electro-Acoustic Composition. His formal education in brass instruments is complemented by a decade-long engagement with piano and synthesizers, which has seen him collaborate with a range of musical groups.
Since graduating from WLU, James has worked as a Program Assistant with Crash Rhythm, a program dedicated to children’s music education. In this role, he contributes to fostering musical skills and creativity in young students, blending his expertise with his passion for community engagement.
Throughout his career, James has contributed to multiple albums and participated in tours across the United States and Europe. These experiences have been both thrilling and formative, allowing him to explore diverse musical landscapes and connect with audiences around the globe. Despite the excitement of touring, James finds his deepest satisfaction in a more unconventional pursuit: drumming on garbage cans during community parades. This unique passion reflects his love for music and his commitment to engaging with his local community.
Today, James balances his performance career with a dedication to making a positive impact in the Tri-City area. His enthusiasm for music is evident in his efforts to share it with others and contribute meaningfully to local cultural events.
